Wow can't believe what I discovered this week. had to wait a couple of days to make sure...
Long story short...
I am a little fanatic with sound systems...in particular with car stereo's
Most know by now that I have added a sub in my wheel well since I got the car.
I have been noticing that sometimes I don't have as much bass as some other times. It's like some days the bass output is strong and some days it isn't.
Well I guess I found the problem. I DO NOT know how this happens or why but I believe this Lexicon system has a major bug.
Please note that with the added sub this finding makes a HUGE difference.
It seems the Lexicon goes into a state of 1/2 to 2/3 power to the sub.
I discovered by accident that when I press the voice command and say "Cancel" when it comes back to the music, the sub output is at full blast again.
Again I don't know why it does this but it just does. I believe this is the problem that some members seem to see with the lack of bass and find they need to reset it by playing with the bass setting.
I'd like to ask those who have added a sub to please try this test and see if it does the same thing.
Just put music at around 16 volume on a bass beat and after about a minute hit the voice command and say cancel, when the music comes back playing, you should hear a lot more bass. (again please note that it's not always going in this state)
thanks in advance to anyone trying
I have since made it a routine that once the car is started, I always voice command and cancel right away.
PS. I think this has something to do with bluetooth connection...not sure just guessing at this point
Regards,
