Discovered an annoying issue with the Parking Assist System today... At every light when I slowed to a stop, the sound would come on indicating there was an object or vehicle in front of the car - but there wasn't.
When I got to work I relaized what was happening. There is a light snow/sleet mixture outside today. Nothing major - it wasn't even sticking to the streets - but it was that type of sleety stuff that would accumulate on a parked car or lightly to the front of a moving car. There was so little accumulated on the front of my car that it was barely noticable when I got out to check - but it must have been enough to activate the sensors.
I know the manual says that the parking assist system may not work properly in snow but I wish it were set up to be a little less sensitive. We have a parking assist system on our Sienna too - but it never goes off because of snow.
