  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone experienced an issue with a rattle coming from the driver's side door panel and if so, did they figure out the cause? I have a rattle when I'm going 45 or above. Pretty sure it's coming from inside the door. I just noticed it one day.

Is it easy to remove the interior door panels without breaking a ton of fasteners?
Thanks,

I noticed one from my pass door the other day.. It comes a goes. Most of the time its non-existent. There is a you tube video from a window tinted guy whom shows how to remove door panel. It looks super easy to do.my rattle sounded like a metal noise? If that makes sense.

Yeah, there's no link, Wilkinson!

Well I do apologize..I am not good with this stuff. I asked you tube for videos of window tinting on G80.

Even a small rattle is a big deal in one of these cars... It's amplified because they are otherwise so damned quiet! I used to have the door pockets crammed with all sorts of debris in my Infiniti G, never noticed all the junk rattling around because it was so noisy. The Genesis is the least cluttered car I ever had because the sound of stuff rolling around really disturbs the peace...

It looks like the door panels are a pretty straight forward process. Keep me posted on what you find rattling in there . I am kind of curious. Thanks Kraig.

I took off the panel easy peasy, put some glue on a fastener that looked like it could vibrate, put the panel back on. Took her for a drive and the rattle is still there. I guess I’ll live with it.
The car is very well put together though! Lots of insulation and noise deadening on the door.

I thought I had a rattle in the driver side door as well, but it turned out to be the bulb cover under the driver side knee airbag panel. It drove me crazy trying to figure out where the noise was coming from. There is some play between the bulb cover and housing that caused my rattling. Tap the bulb cover to check for play or looseness.

Alas, that wasn’t it for me. But that bulb cover was loose.
