  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Annoying rotary steering wheel controls

Not an issue on mine. I'm not used to such luck. Sad it's wasted on such a minor thing, instead of a jackpot lottery ticket.

Easy fix. Put some dye on the rollers and use your thumb in the usual manner. When the dye gets on your thumb you see the are used. Take a dull knife, rusty is best, and make some score marks across the dyed area of your thumb. Once healed, you can roll like a pro. It will even work while the scabs are on your thumb.
You just have to adapt as needed.
Be sure and let us know how that works for ya. (smiley pun intended)

Also, pics would be cool.

Not a problem with my 2015...
Yea, it doesn't appear to be an issue on the 2015/2016's. Hyundai must have changed the springs residing behind those wheels sometime after the 2016 model year. Not sure why, I think mine has the ideal pressure requirements.

I've had several new vehicles since 2000 and I think all or most all had the volume wheels. How many times have I used them, maybe 10-20 times, probably because my mind is fixed on volume control as a teenager or an octogenarian.

I see no problem with this system. Works great in my opinion. After initially reading this I gave it some thought when driving the car and just cannot see a problem.

I'm glad yours works fine.

I mistakenly pressed the right roller and zeroed my fuel reading.
I've had my car a week and have done that 3-4 times. Kinda frustrating, but it wasn't because I was having trouble turning the wheel - I was trying to find a function (lessen distance of cruise control reaction time) and was pressing everything.

I really like the scroll knobs. Especially on the left side(volume) on the steering wheel. It allows me to quickly "crank up" a good rock song without reaching over to the center console volume.(and more importantly keeping my eyes on the road) I like them way more then the old style "push up/push down" volume. Yes, I have muted audio a few times and yes I have selected something in the menus on the right side scroll. But over all I think they are fantastic!
