  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anticipated Performance of '15 3.8 AWD Sedan

Yes, I did read that. Another review said something about the 5.0 being about a second faster than the 3.8 and estimating the 5.0 in low 5's. Really doubt it.

Why is the Camry so quick with only 268HP? It also seems very smooth and clean revving. Notice how unruffled and smooth it pulls

Why is the Camry so hollow and have an interior that's cheaper/more plasticky than the rest of the segment (now that the new 200 is arriving)?

And why does the Camry have a lower average transaction price than even the old lipstick on a pig 200?

Oh, Cripes, I hope that digital speedometer can be turned off. Boring distraction!

i replaced a camry with a 2011 4.6. attempts to compare the two are laughable. don't misunderstand, the camry is a nice car and reliable as the day is long, but the genesis is in another league. be serious.

I always thought FWD cars had less traction than RWD. Due to the fact that when the car accelerates the weight transfers to the back and as a result the grip level of the powered front wheels is reduced cuasing wheel spin.

Depends... On acceleration, yes. there is a weight transfer to the rear that will allow the front wheels to lose traction.... if going for all out acceleration at a stop light, or modulating the rear in a turn.

If lightly applying the throttle, so that weight transfer is minimized (As in a snowy situation) the weight of the motor over the fron wheels can be a bonus... which is why adding more weight to the rear of a rear drive car adds more traction in a rear drive car... in the snow.

when modulating the rear in a turn... rear drive can be better, as application of the throttle will transfer the weight to the rear.. .adding more force to the rear tires... generally providing more grip.
