  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Any 2nd Gen owners use K&N air filters?

I have bought one years ago. Induction kit and all and put it on my 2002 Honda Civic SI. An hour later I removed it. That VTEC engine did not like it what so ever. First and last time I ever tried a K&N filter and don't plan on every trying one again.

Waste of money.......... waste of time having to clean it, re-oil it (just right amount) let it dry for a few hours...... blah blah blah.... what I've said along with the others' statements kinda tells me all I need to know..... g i m m i c k.

sigh, such vitriol... and there is no advantage in Kimber over RadioaShack, and so on.

Been using one for the past few thousand miles, and with other K&N filters, I like the more pronounced engine sound it allows compared to OEM. Mid-range throttle response also seems more lively, but nothing earth-shattering.
