  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking around, cant find any, anybody knows if any of the stingers are 100% bolt on compatible..

I have been wondering about this myself. I have heard that the JUN BL version for the Kia Stinger might work, but I have yet to get full confirmation. If so, I would like to get it installed ASAP.

nope.

I talked to some contacts I have at both Borla and Magnaflow, both of whom I have loaned past vehicles to for use in test fittings and mock ups.

Both have indicated that "at this time" they do not see enough interest for the G80 3.3T to justify the R&D.

Still waiting to get a proper mic for my camera so I can record my exhaust but I did have an exotic shop modify an axleback magnaflow street muffler for me. I also did a resonator delete. Really wakes the car up. Down shifts are extremely aggressive & there is minor crackle (you have to really listen for it). I am working with a local shop to get a proper custom tune which should also adjust some of the exhaust notes.

Long story short, find yourself a reputable shop that works on some exotic cars. Generally these cars require some custom cuts & welding. The pipes they used matched the standard piping & the welds looked to be done really well. No issues so far unless you consider strangers asking you about your car all the time to be a problem :)

Inbox me if you have any questions. I can share my experience & see if I can snap some pics.

Sounds amazing. Definitely post some pics!

I can tell it would sound awesome in person!

Has a surprising "muscle" tone. Crusing at 70-80 on the interstate is almost silent too. When you mash the gas it wakes up again. It's no 5.0 but I stopped using the radio when I drove because the sound is so enjoyable but not obnoxious. My wife hates "loud" cars and says it's fine so it's a win/win.

I know the Stinger, G70, and G80 all have different wheel bases. Do you think the dementions of axle back portion of these vehicles exhaust systems would be the same?

I e-mailed Tork Motorsports and asked them if the axle back exhaust(and other mods) for the kia stinger GT would fit on a G80 sport, They replied that they have no idea, but if someone brought them a car to measure up they could update their data base.
They're in Auburn Washington, any body with a sport near them???

Thinking of having a local fab welding shop trick me up an axle back system with a couple of old fashion CHERI BOMBS

Please share if you do this. Would love to hear it.

@Ggace I'm thinking of getting a G80 Sport, however one of the biggest turn offs to me is the lack of exhaust note. Where did you get your exhaust from, price and does it mess with the MFG warranty? Thanks!

I did an axle-back exhaust so this will not effect your warranty. I purchased the magnaflow street exhaust online for a few hundred. Interviewed a few "exotic shops" until I found one heavy on customization knowing fabrication was necessary. They installed it for a few hundred as well. I liked the sound but it still was just shy of hitting the growl I wanted so I took it back and did a resonator delete.

Now I get more crackle and minor pops (almost hard to notice unless you are outside of the car). My wife took the car out the other day and I asked her to punch it so I can hear it from my house. I was shocked at how loud it was. I could hear the crackle a block or 2 away. I bring this up because its not even close to that loud in the car.

I am still not 100% happy with the sound. Trying to work on a cat-back system. I am not trying to make it louder. I am trying to make it a bit more raspy. Almost like a jaguar f-type sound.

I see. Unfortunately I know nothing about stuff like that and feel like they would take me to town. Out of curiosity, do you have videos or audio before the resonator delete? How much would you say everything cost you from beginning to end? Thanks!

You can google g80 sport exhaust. Plenty out there on dealership videos. It had a great sound when you really got into it. I just wanted a little more.

I need to re-record my videos. The ones I posted really muffled the sound. My camera audio is trash. Once I get a better one I will share the new links.

As for cost, under $1,000. I think it was $825 total since I saved by buying my own parts. Resonator deletes usually go for $80-$120 (sometimes cheaper). Mine was do e for $80 since I have done previous work with them.

Wondering if your source for this info might have updated since last year? It would be nice to know which Stinger setup would require the least amount of fab work to mate it to a G80 underbody.
TIA

I know exactly what you are talking about... those F-Types sound amazing. What are your plans to make this happen?? Would love this as well.

Also, out of curiosity, how loud is the exhaust if you are not getting on it? Will I piss off my neighbors? :)

Cold start it reminds me of my neighbors Harley. It has that sort of bass to it. After a minute or 2 it drops down to about half that. Its "noticeable" as my neighbor says. He knows when im home but he said its not at all obnoxious. No real drone that I have witnessed yet either.

With regards to the ftype sound, this can only ve achieved by a full catback install and a rich tune to get that crackle. Jags generally tune rich to get that raspy gurgle sound. Now....... That WILL void your warranty entirely.

I just replaced the oem catback by used Maserati quatroporte 2009 catback

And the sound is brutal 🔊🔊🔊🔊
