  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi

I am a new owner of a 2016 Genesis. I would like to continue to have the Remote Start functionality ... does anyone know how to get the best deals or promotions on this. My free 3 month period has expired and was cancelled.

Thank you.

Larry

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
When my initial expired period, I called and got them to do 50% off the remote start.

That sounds good.

Do you need to keep the basic emergency module or can you only subscribe to remote?

Need to keep base BL plan.

after the initial 3 months is over to get a alert to restart BL? I'd be interested in the the remote start feature..

So what is best price for basic plus remote start Blue Link?

my sales lady told me $99 for the year for whole service.. .

It will be interesting to see how that works out for you. Both services have to be active, and they are about $99 each. Check your Blue Link account online to see the status of both subscriptions.

just received a email from Hyundai... 40-50% off Bluelink plans...

Anyone test this?

It doesn't work. Says I was ineligible for this code....looks like it's for employees only?

I'm not having the best luck with Bluelink. I have the app, remote start takes about 5 minutes to actually start the car...that is, if the app is working okay. On occasion, I have to repeatedly push "start" to engage the remote start feature. The car also only stays on for 10 minutes. My Chrysler 300 comes with remote key start standard. Instantaneous ingnition and stays on until I turn it off, by remote. In my opinion, I don't believe that it's worth a subscription until they make the process more user friendly.

I think part of the problem is the 3G cell cards in the car, not sure why they did that for a 50k vehicle

that explains it right there.. 3G?

The part where it says, "Exclusive Discounts for Hyundai Employees and Their Families" was a clue ;-)

This. Bluelink sucks beyond belief.

and if you don't use your car for 4 days remote start doesn't work.... Sucks when you want to use it around the 4 day mark and its 0 degrees outside.

The app is terrible and doesn't work that well too.

i let my expire..once I got the letter about i need to start the car every 4 days that basically did it for me.. I travel alot and the car sits in econ parking for weeks sometimes..
