  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Any ideas how to handle this?

I have a 2015 3.8 AWD with Tech and Sig package. I bought it in August as a CPO vehicle. Since then I always have the "Check AEB" warning light come on at random times. Usually when I am behind a SUV or car larger than mine. Happens in dry sunny conditions. Also, it seems as the SCC doesn't really slow down until the very last second. I have it at 4 bars and it gets pretty close before it starts to hit the brakes. I have now taken it too two dealers. The first dealer said it was because the sensor plate was dirty. They cleaned it and then said they could not re-produce the warning (though it happened again 2 miles from the dealer). Just yesterday I took it too the original dealer that I bought it from. They said there was nothing they could do as it worked fine and there were no diagnostic codes coming up. They said they test drove it and could not reproduce the error. They said they re-calibrated the SCC (whatever that means) and that was it. Again as soon as I left, on the 20 miles home, the error came up 4 times. At wits end here. Has anyone had any of these issues or know's how to get the dealer to actually fix this- or even a better dealer to use? I thought maybe its the cameras in the windshield but I don't know how to access them to clean the lenses? I live in the NW Suburbs of Chicago. Thanks in advance!

Take the car back and take the service tech for a drive with you driving..... show him how you drive so he could see the problem first hand

Take your service rep to lunch. You drive. He gets a lunch on you. You get to show the error. Works every time

As everyone has advised, take the manager for a ride with you and let him see/experience it. And by the way, there are no front cameras on this car or on the windshield, its all sensors

OK. I will get the service rep or tech to take a ride with me when I bring it in. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Also, is the rectangle on the front grill the actual sensor or is it the cover for the sensor behind it?
