  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just wondering if anyone has added the cooling front seats to a car that did not come from the factory with the option? If so how hard of a swap is it? Anyone know if the wiring is there?

I have a 2010 3.8, and it seems I would need to find a 2010 V8 with Tech package, or a 2011-12 V8..

Reading the forums it Seems that the Coupe guys are a little more "hands on" then the Sedan guys, i'm guessing its an age thing but I always like to get my hands dirty..lol

I don't see that a cooled driver's seat would be a huge hassle but these were never available to my knowledge with a cooled passenger seat so wiring and seat availability may be an issue.

Really?? It was drivers side only?? I honestly had no idea. Why?? I just assumed it would be both.

The US version had several features removed to allow for cost-cutting. I imagine Hyundai US wanted to keep the price lower to fit the US market.

Power trunk and cooled passenger seats are options I am still pondering retrofitting in my 1st gen.
To do cooled seats you not only need a non-US passenger seat, but also need the center console button and (assuming) the wiring to connect it all together.

We need to find someone overseas that can get used parts.
