  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on one, and the question I have, is the front grill blacked out instead of chrome like some of the darker colors? Is this standard on the white?

You can black out the chrome front with vinyl car wrap. You can buy a 5' x 1' piece for about $20.

I had to do it before I added my T-Rex mesh grille insert.

The mesh inset is not an option if you have a Tech or Ultimate trim level because of the sensor in front.

My car is scheduled next week to put it on.

To answer your question, the grille has a chrome leading edge highlight on each of the "ribs" that cross. The picture you posted just does not clearly show the features of the grille and the white color of the car may tend to wash it out.

Here is a better shot:

It has kind of a satin finish, not a high polish.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Thanks guys!! I saw it online and haven't had the chance to get up there and see it in person. I love the blacked out look against white. By the way if anyone is looking for a new 2015 Genesis, the dealer I'm going to has several in stock 5.0 and 3.8 all 8k off for internet pricing. If you are in the Maryland area let me know and I'll send you the dealership info

Just a suggestion for you regarding Casablanca white. I had a 2014 Genesis Coupe in that color and the front end had some rock chips. I tried three different bottles of the Hyundai Casablanca white touch up paint. The end result was not even close to the factory white. It had a greyish/brown look to it when it dried. The paint from the factory is a three stage metallic process. Touch up paint will never match it. The Casablanca white is true white color. Meaning any shade white paint applied contrasts against the factory white. The end result looks awful. Wanted to give you a heads up.

I have a Casablanca White 5.0 and love it. I much prefer lighter color vehicles over darker ones, partially because they are easier to maintain and show scratches ans swirls less. I definitely like white over the other light colors.

I do like the look of some of the darker colors as well, but I would not buy one myself.
