Any plans to introduce voice texting?

I just got my Genesis and was hoping that it would include texts that would appear on the screen and an ability to respond to those texts via voice-to-text or at least a list of "canned" text responses. Does anyone know if there are any plans to add a software fix that would allow this function?

first off, Welcome to the forum!

If you have any Genesis 2014 and below the answer is No.. As far as i know Hyundai has no plans to update our software.

I have a Note 4 and a cell phone mount that goes in the CD player (i don't use CD's anymore).

I set up my phone to go into "car mode" when it connects to Genesis and my Fosgate BT adapter.

I also picked up a super short 18 inch USB cable that goes from the cig lighter to the phone for charging.

My phone talks to me to tell me i have a text and lets me respond by voice to text. Its not always correct (typo's)... but its better than running of the road and hitting a tree at 70mph

Thank you for the advice. I do have a 2015 Genesis (just got it yesterday) and a Samsung Galaxy S4 with "Driving Mode." The phone is already paired with my Genesis. So what would that bluetooth adapter do since I know that without it my phone is still hooked in to the car audio? What I want is to have something like what my sister has on her Lexus where the text appears on the car's screen and is read allowed and then she has a choice of pre-determined responses that she can click on and have sent. I assume the fix you suggested will not do that even though my phone already has 6 responses that I can use when I reject a call. Is there a way to accomplish that with my Samsung now? Are there any plans by Hyundai to add a software fix that will accomplish this? Thanks.

In the 2015 you wont need the BT adapter. If you can stream music from your phone your golden.
All you should have to do is set up car mode and turn on text to speech with text messaging.

Does this work with iPhone 6? I set this up with wife on Windows phone on one of the Mazda 3. Works great. Texts messages come in, asked if want the, read back.. If read back, or not, asks if want to respond. Always says who the text is from first or phone number. Auto mutes the radio/BT music, or CD. Also cues them up if on the phone with voice call. Would be cool if the 2015 Genny would do that..
