  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I used Android auto almost exclusively, so I don't care much about the maps being up to date as of today, as I'll just use google maps and waze for that. However I would like to have the nav available as a backup option, but can't justify spending 145 bucks on new maps. Is there a way for me to get older maps for free by download or something?

Someone on here might clone you a card....

If it's doable, it would be appreciated, it can be old maps or whatever, I would just like to have something in there for backup.

cards can't be cloned. they are encrypted to the SD cards serial number.

Did you get it from a dealer? They often pull the cards and keep them in a drawer so no one pockets one while test driving or on the lot. Might check on that if applicable.

Send me a $20 bill and a self addressed stamped envelope and I'll mail you my old sd card.
I'll have breakfast on you.
