  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What kind of price reduction were you able to get on the 3.8 base or with packages? Trying to decide between buying a 2014 or a used 2012 with premium or tech for a few thousand less.

i bought a 2013 base model for 8k less than the sticker price.

Dealers still have 2013s on the lot - I suggest going after one of those if you can find something you like. I did just that about 10 days ago (3.8 Tech) and ended up around 25% off sticker.

The 2014s will also be "on sale" but dealers may not be as aggressive compared to the 13s. There are no significant changes between the 13 and 14.

I bought a 2014 R-Spec last week. About 15% off sticker.

Just run a nationwide search on cars.com for the car you want. Sort the lowest price and that will pretty much tell you.

Got 7500 off for my 13 rspec 3.8 26000 out the door, sticker wuth dealer add ons was 33000

That is the coupe, not sedan, in case anyone missed it. Brand new 2013 sedans are selling for bigger discounts than 7500 due to the all new 2015 coming in a few weeks.

Just got a new 2013 genesis sedan with tech package. It was a demo car so it had about 2000 miles on it. They had 10k off sale price of about $35k from 45k. I was able to show a lower truecar quote from a san diego dealer that had a new one for $31,600. Ended up haggling more and got to $33k OTD which is around $29k.

I think that's a good price for a 3.8 Tech. I paid a little under $34k (16 miles). That was the TrueCar price in my area (MA).

bought a 2014 r-spec. Sticker was 48480. Traded in a 2011 4.6 with 6200 miles. The net amount I owed was 19000 (walk out the door price, included dealer prep, taxes, registration fees etc)

2014 3.8 with premium package 1. MSRP $40,805, paid $34,752 plus $199 dealer prep and government fees (dealer included freight in MSRP), was out the door for about $36K.

Did you really mean 6200 Miles ? or 62K Miles ?

...... It appears that they gave you about $22K - $24K for your 2011, depending on how much Sales Tax they had in your State.

it was correct - i only had 6,200 miles. I received a 22k credit for the trade in.

Got my 2013 3.8 Tech+Premium last November for $30,500 and you can still find a few of them new on dealers lots including some R'Specs...so unless your wanting the 2014 for any particular reason you can save a lot on a 2013.

There is a 2013 RSpec Black/Black Sedan with around 7500 miles on eBay showing for sale in Florida for a $34,546 starting bid, it's a private seller so as always use caution....just thought to share.
