Virginia offers a Mileage Choice program that enables vehicle registration fees to be pro-rated based on miles driven instead of a fixed fee that assumes a standard 12,000 miles per year. For EV (and hybrid) owners, the fee can be considerable for those drivers who don't put 12,000 miles on per year.
The Va system is supposed to support vehicle telematics in order to send mileage information back to the state, but they are saying my GV60 is not compatible. Anyone else use the Va system or another state's similar system with telematics? If you can't use telematics, then you have to revert to an OBD device (uggg).
