  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

have this experience? While driving in heavy rains with the ACC (I hate this thing) I've had the traction control warning beep and symbol come on; the ACC then shuts down. The manual says this warning will occur at 6 mph but I was going a "little" faster". Last night this occured at a moderate speed on a wet roadway. Could driving through a puddle cause water to activate a sensor? Thanks for upcoming comments!
P.S. one last thought; on occasion my ACC (did I say) will just fade away-no touching the brake pedal, no nuttin.

I don't think it activates the sensor, but deactivates it. To work properly for cruise control and for AEB, it has to read what is ahead of you. Heavy rain or snow blocks the signal. Once that happens, it gives you a warning that it is not working. What you say is traction control is probably the AEB warning.

I don't know your actual driving conditions, but it is generally not a good idea to use cruise control in heavy rain or slippery conditions anyway, so it is not a life changing experience if it drops out.
ACC is one of my favorite features of the car. I have it set for "fast" mode and two bars distance. .

I've had issues with the ACC but it was attributed to the front end after it was scuzzed up from salt and slush. After a cleaning, it was good as new. I never use the cruise control in the wet though.
