Anyone installed the September 2024 map update yet?

OK, perhaps a dumb question …

I purchased an SD card to install the new update. The instructions weren’t clear – do I leave the new card in the slot? Can I re-use the old card (which I got from Map’n’Soft?

I did the same and left the card in the slot. I'm assuming my old card is not really worth anything to keep around.

As long as the mapnsoft SD card isn’t locked to read only and is big enough, you should be able to reuse it.

You need to leave the SD card in the slot after the update as it is what stores the map data. If you take the SD card out, your navigation part of your infotainment system will not function.

I thought of that too but my old card is only 16GB, which isn't enough space.

Yes to both.

Just updated my 2015 for the 1st time. Install went well, 20-25 min.
However, my 2015 software showed the phone battery charge level on the main menu. Now I only get a notification that the phone is connected, and the charge level only shows while making a call.
Is this normal?
