  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm planning on replacing my 2011 4.6 with a 2015 3.8 Ultimate package. I can't find Parisian Grey anywhere locally to see the color on the car. I currently have Titanium, with which I'm happy. Empire State looks too dark and Santiago Silver is too bright and brassy.

Anyone know if the illuminated door sills can be added to the 3.8 aftermarket? I know this was possible in earlier years.

I see one (mine) several times a day and I love the color. I have had numerous complements on the color.

Mine is also Parisian Grey. I think it almost has a blue tent to it. Love the color. If I was getting the Ultimate package I would go for the Ibiza blue though!

We walked into our dealer a couple weeks ago and they had this sitting in the showroom. The Parisian Gray is a WOW! The pictures do not do it justice. You must see it in person to get the full experience of this color. My original choice was/is the Montecito Blue but now on the fence with the Parisian Gray. Then there is ckon's Caspian Black which is also awesome...

The good news, Alwaysforward, is that there's one out there you'll be happy with. :) It seems like every color emphasizes a different element of the car and when you see the one that "tilts your kilt" you'll know it. The only problem (or maybe it's a good thing) is that we can't easily see very many in the flesh right now and our decisions are based on what we've actually laid our eyes on.

We had a lighter color on the demo the dealer gave us for a weekend and the car just felt so classy to drive that it just almost self-chose black for its basic elegance. In the relatively few colors I've seen, black (especially with a tint) seems to blend in the different design features and shows off the proportions of car while lighter cars seem to emphasize the grille and wheels. I suppose we all perceive these things according to our own tastes, but this has been my experience with the few colors I've been able to see in the flesh.

Very well put Chuck I’ve seen quite a few colors and I think they all look very good each color highlighting the car in different way. Eye of the beholder. Sorry to say like I said before I have my reservations with the beige.

I've only seen pictures of the beige, but it looks very good. There was a review done by a woman that showed the beige if you can find it. I think she made kind of a snide remark about it but I thought it looked good.

Here is an outdoor Picture of my 2014 R-Spec in Parisian Gray.

I have seen every color now and have narrowed my list down to three in the following order (not the order of availability):

Montecito Blue
Parisian Gray
Caspian Black

The other colors are fine but these three are the best to my liking. I have always loved black color cars but they are a pain to keep clean. I have a two car garage that is a wood shop and have no room to keep a car in there. I like silver cars as they tend to stay clean looking even though they are dirty. I won't buy another silver car as I have been driving one since 2002 and need a change.

The Parisian Gray I have seen both indoors and outside in the sun and I must say, it is a very close second to my first choice. Hopefully in a few more weeks I can pull the trigger and pick one up (if I can find the 5.0 Ultimate).

Good luck - I hope you find exactly what you want. :)

Got one - 2015 3.8 HTRAC, Parisian Grey, Ivory interior, Ultimate package.

Dealer said it was the only one in New England - apparently, the ivory leather is not out there very much,

Welcome to the forum feersum dreadnaught and congrats on the new ride. There isn't one in Florida with the Ivory interior. I did find one with Black interior. I have given up on the interior color and will settle for any interior color as long as I can get the exterior color I want when I am ready to buy so I won't have to wait to long. Can you post up some pics of your car here? I would love to see it in the wild :D

Check out this link, this dealer is in New Jersey and has a Parisian Grey 3.8 black interior, showing in his inventory...

Good Luck ......

That car is not an Ultimate. They are hard to find down in here is South Florida too.

It's an Ultimate - but the car they list on the Dealer link as Parisian Gray is actually Empire State Gray when you pull up the Window Sticker (my favorite color and the one I have :))

You are correct. I was looking at the MSRP an thinking 5.0... Empire State Gray is a good color too but my wife's 2012 Honda is that same color so were looking for a change.

I seriously doubt that a 2012 Honda dark gray color is the same as a 2015 Genesis Empire State Gray. I would like to see them both in the daylight and see if the paint highlights are the same. No offense meant.
