anyone switch from a G80 to a G70?

The G80 Sport is the right size for me. I felt cramped in the G70.

I stated before in a prior post my transitional feelings on going from a 2015 Genesis Ultimate 3.8 which my wife and I really liked to a 3.3t G70. No doubt about it the Ultimate was definitely more comfortable rode smoother and was great on really long trips like 12 to 15 hours per day driving. My wife loved the car and was very reluctant to part with it. I felt it was getting around the time for a change based to the age of the car though it only had 28,000 miles on it. We both agreed it had to a smaller car to better free up some room in the garage. I’ve been an avid Hyundai fan for about 7 years now since my first 2011 Genesis. I have owned 2 Hyundai’s and this is my 3rd Genesis. Reasons are obvious, best built reliable cars I’ve owned. So I knew I wanted another Genesis. Research showed significant positive reviews of this new member of the family to merit a test drive. That’s it I was hooked. let’s not kid ourselves there is a significant difference here. As much as I think the new car is comfortable I can’t see myself embarking on a 15 hour drive with it and feeling as good as I did with the Ultimate and I won’t be driving with anybody in the back with it for again obvious reasons. That’s why I also own a full size Santa Ultimate to allow the practical me to cope with such matters. Now why would I accept these minor inconveniences? If you haven’t driven the G70 you wouldn’t understand and those who have do.

I can’t echo this statement any more. Same experience going from 16 ultimate to 19 g70 3.3t. I would drive the 16 to Vegas 14 hours straight. Best road car ever. 19 g70 is just funner to drive. Both great cars !
