  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi All,
1st let me Offer my Unreserved Apologies
for my recent & totally unnecessary and uncalled for
comments regarding ownership or non ownership..
I was Wrong..
The "G" is way cool, it developed a small rattle inside the
passengers door mirror, at the dealership it took
about five minutes to acknowledge the rattle
and before I had finished my coffee it was
de-rattled, washed and ready to roll😃
Great service @ CentralValley Hyundai..
I have been running with the ECO setting
ON, average around town 16-17mpg.
Turned the ECO Off & average town mpg
increased to 20-21.. Same fuel, same driving
habits, same journeys, I'm baffled..
(Time for 2 full tanks, (1) with ECO On
and the other with ECO Off)

ECO does not change anything about the car.. It is just an indicator light that tells you when you are driving your car economically.

It is hard to compare city driving because so much can be different. You might hit some red lights you got green last time... The car might have been more warmed up on one trip vs another.

Most likely you are not flooring the pedal as much. In the early days of ownership, that thrill is hard to resist.

Even after almost 2 years, the backs of my eyeballs still get dented at every green light.
:D

Eco button merely turns "Eco" light on/off. Does not change anything else that I can tell. Perhaps foot more educated?

It takes a mature person to admit they were wrong. Let's move on.

P.S. Props for being the first on this forum to refer to our cars as the G.
