Apple CarPlay - static when playing music?

I just picked up a 2020 3.3T AWD last week and I noticed that when I listen to music through Apple CarPlay, there's occasionally static or distortion coming through the speakers. I've tried using multiple cables, both Apple and 3rd party, but the static issue still happens...and more frequently than I would think is acceptable (3-4 times out of 10).

Reading up on other threads, I saw this issue may be pervasive across many G70s (like the headliner issue) but I haven't really seen anyone post an official resolution. Does anyone know if this issue can be resolved through a software update or is covered under warranty?

I find I usually have better success if I wait for 30-45 seconds for car and screen to boot up before plugging my phone in - anyone else have that experience?
