  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Down around 50% for Genesis w/ G80 sales off nearly 75% down to 161 (not surprising considering the new model is around the corner).

Genesis - 806
G70 - 551
G80 - 161
G90 - 94

Hyundai, as a whole, actually fared better than most other automakers for the month. w/ retail sales down just 28% compared to April of 2019 and actually up 6% from March.

ATP for H/K/G is $27.5k, closing in on Honda/Acura $28.6k, but outsold Honda/Acura.

W/ increased production capacity for the Telluride and the F/L Santa Fe, the new Sorento and Optima and the GV80 and new G80 - H/K/G should pass H/A in the near future (the Sonata now has the highest ATP within its segment).

Word from Korea is that Hyundai is switching production around to better meet domestic demand as conditions there are business as usual than in the US or Europe.

That means increased production for the Palisade, GV80 and G80.

So Genesis should be better able to work thru the backlog of KDM pre-orders, which should also mean increased supply for NA sooner than later.

For April, Genesis smashed its previous domestic sales record (6,404) w/ 10,217 sold.

There were 4,324 GV80s sold for the month (previous month, over 3,300 were sold).

But the new G80 outpaced its CUV counterpart in sales.

W/ the GV70 and F/L G70, Genesis should be able to hit the 15k/month barrier.

For context, Acura sold 10,341 in May and 13,547 for May of 2019.
