  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2011 3.8 Tech model and the rear boot joints creak every time I drive the car. I tried jacking up each side for an hour or so and that actually made it better, but only for a day.

Has anyone had this issue? Is it covered under the 5 year portion of the warranty? Mine runs out in 4 months.

Just wanted to know so I won't "blow a gasket" when I take in and ask dealer. I've never had a car (new or used) that had this problem when only 5 years old!

I had a 2002 VW Passat 1.8T that blew the front CV boots around 5 years. For me it was the salt from the (sometimes) harsh Northeast winters that eats everything.
