  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

anyone know if 2009's are still available new ?

There was a v6 2009 at adamsons in rochester mn... but I think it was really a dealer demo...

cars.com search finds 97 listed, but many are duplicates and a couple of sites no longer listed the 09 when checked but clearly there are a few out there...

Why would you want a new 09 now? The discount wouldn't be enough to make it worthwhile. There were some bugs with the 09s as well (Tech package amp, suspension revision). IMO go with a 2010/11 for the little more you will pay I think it will be beneficial in the long run.

A 2009? Why get a "new" 2 year old vehicle? No matter the discount- it is still a 2 year old car. Cars are meant to be run- one sitting dormant for long- long periods of time 18-24 months cannot be good for any engine/transmission/tires, etc.

Depends - if you can get a "new" 09 at used 09 prices, you will make out. Nothing significant since they came out in 2008 that would turn me off of an unsold 09.

well a friend just bought a used 2010 V8 with tech over a "new" 09 because the 2010 was cheaper (8k miles on it)...

If you are looking to save money... get a slightly used rather than "new"

Unless Hyundai has big dealer incentives to get rid of leftover 09 models the dealer can only discount the car so much before they lose more money on it than they want. It can always be put to use as a loaner where the mileage tax deduction will recover more than the loss on the sale. I think sometimes people think that dealers have huge profit margins in these cars and that is not the case. A dealer makes almost all his profit in the service dept and on used cars. New car sales cover the commissions and the lights and the holdback check at the end of the year maybe covers floorplan expense and Christmas bonuses for the sales dept.

Homes Hyundai in Des Moines, Iowa has a Black/Cashmere '09 3.8 with 8,000 miles on it (dealership owner used it as a "demo"), never titled, I think they're asking $31K+ and I'm guessing it could be had for less.

I bought 2009 V6 Tech model last week.(MSRP $40000)

500miles, brand new, from Hyundai dealer.

I paid $30500 +TTL = OTD $33000
