Are they DRLs or just RLs

I searched but could not find anything on this.

I have a 2011 4.6 with HIDs. My High beams are lit at low power when ever the car is on, on other cars I have with DRLs (Toyota Camrys) the high beams were on during the day but shut off when the low beams were turned on.

It this the way Hyundai choose to do DRLs, to just have them on all the time, or is there something wrong with the DRL relay on my car?

Are you sure it wasn't the 194 bulb that is placed right next to the high beam?

My 2011 4.6 with HIDs uses a 194 bulb located in the high beam reflector that is illuminated anytime the parking lamps or headlamps are activated.

That is probably it, what purpose does it serve?

I ended up using an LED bulb

Sylvania 168/194/2825 LED Bulb, you need to order two. The driver's side is pain to get out, the passenger side is easy once you remove the airbox.
