This guy sounds like my partner. Everything is a conspiracy. I don't remember where I saw it, probably NBC Nightly News, but I think they may have to ration the flu shots because they won't be able to make enough fast enough. I wouldn't even be on the ration list. It stops at age 65. I am 66 and therefore might not even be able to get a shot if I wanted one which I don't.

I used to get a free shot every year from the FBI when I was stationed in NYC and I got about three different flus every winter. When I moved to Florida (14 years ago) I no longer got a flu shot and I haven't had the flu since.

I think it is unlikely that they will have to force people to get a flu shot. More likely the lines will be long with people lined up for hours (maybe days) before the shots are even available.

P.S.

The CDC is already saying that the pig flu has spread too far for quarantines to be effective and has said that the Chinese quarantines are ineffective.

So, I think it is unlikely we will see quarantines in the US.

2. Back in 76-77, the only thing the media would talk about was the "Swine Flu" and how we all should get a shot to keep from getting it. Before 76-77, I would get a "Flu Shot" once in a while, however because of all the hype, and even my employer at the time wanting every employee getting a shot, I refused. Many of us refused to get this shot. Well, not only did I never got the Swine Flu, or any Flu, I never heard of anyone getting it. I have not had a "Flu" Shot since then. (thats MORE than 33 years, no Flu shots). OK, have I ever had the Flu in those 33+ years? Once (or perhaps twice), and it was so long ago, that all I remember is that I was living here in Florida, not in Western NY.

3. My wife gets her "Flu Shot" every year. EVERY YEAR! Guess what? She often gets the Flu. I ask her, why does she bother, and she responds, "because "they" (the media) says that I should get it".

4. What happened to the "Bird Flu" scare of three or four years ago? "They" (media) said that it was going to kill hundreds of thousands. The media had my wife scared to death (no pun intended). I told her that the best defense of the Bird Flu, and now, the H1N1 Flu, is to STOP READING AND LISTENING TO THE MEDIA. They only want to have a story that scares you, and the more scared you are, the more people will listen to that media outlet.

#7 - Even if the swine flu vaccine actually works, mathematically speaking if everyone else around you gets the vaccine, you don't need one! (Because it can't spread through the population you hang with.) So even if you believe in the vaccine, all you need to do is encourage your friends to go get vaccinated...

#8 - Drug companies are making billions of dollars from the production of swine flu vaccines. That money comes out of your pocket -- even if you don't get the jab -- because it's all paid by the taxpayers.

#9 - When people start dying in larger numbers from the swine flu, rest assured that many of them will be the very people who got the swine flu vaccine. Doctors will explain this away with their typical Big Pharma logic: "The number saved is far greater than the number lost." Of course, the number "saved" is entirely fictional... imaginary... and exists only in their own warped heads.

#10 - The swine flu vaccine centers that will crop up all over the world in the coming months aren't completely useless: They will provide an easy way to identify large groups of really stupid people. (Too bad there isn't some sort of blue dye that we could tag 'em with for future reference...)
