I've been reading that the GT-F has a less agressive drop then the GT-S.. My opinion is the genesis already looks amazing it could use a very modest drop, so I'm really leaning towards the GT-F even if it's just a 1/2 inch..

Does anyone have any personal experience or pics of what at 3.8 rwd looks like on the GT-F's? ?? I'm just wanting to make sure the drop will be enough to justify the purchase. ARK's website doesn't really give any numbers regarding the 3.8

My car was the test car for ARK's springs, both models. I have a rwd 3.8. This thread starts with me asking the forum since there was nothing then evolves to me getting the first less aggressive set then transitions to me getting the more aggressive set. In it there are pictures of how the car looked with both sets:

Hope this helps.

Yes this definitely helped alot thanks for sharing this thread. I'll be sticking to the stock 18's for a while, after reading I'm thinking the GT-F's will serve me well for what I'm going for, I read after the break in period they will drop a little more as well. Your car looks amazing btw Rloyola, both sets of springs looked damn good. I must remain conservative however I travel back home once in a while and the country roads don't like to low of cars.

I guess my only concern is if the ARK fixed the issue w/ the rear being lower then the front on the GT-F's i'm assuming it should always be the opposite.

I got the GT-Fs. They are barely a drop for the V6. there's about .5" in the rear, and no drop in the front. they were meant for the V8 with its heavier front. The handling is an improvement. If you want a drop, go with the GT-S or the Storm springs. the GT-Fs did eliminate the rear gap which was the most noticeable.

interesting so no drop in the front? Damn now I'm considering doing the GT-S I just don't want to be stuck with to much of a drop. Are there just one type of Storm spring for the Genesis?

Hold on a sec...... I should have some pics of the V6 lowered on GT-F springs. I went to visit one of our members last year.

Ok....1st picture - his car lowered on GT-S (mine is still on OEM springs)

I remember, I asked him to post the numbers "before and after" and he did, in one of those threads about ARK springs. The front was very close to 1.5", it looks good, but it would be perfect with ~1 - 1.25" drop. I mentioned that several times when I spoke with ARK, but they weren't interested in my opinion, I guess....

3rd. is mine lowered on GT-S so you can compare to his front

5th. picture is my car lowered on GT-S the front wheels are almost tucked in.

6th. lowered on GT-F

I mentioned that to ARK as well. On the V6, your two options are practically no drop and SLAMMED. either slightly higher GT-S or slightly lower GT-Fs would be perfect, but their response to me was basically that the GT-Fs were for the V8 and the GT-Ss were for the V6 and it didn't seem like they were interested in any changes. Due to install issues I've had to undergo three installs on the front; I'm not going to pay for another set of springs and yet another install/alignment at this point, otherwise I would have turned my attention to the Storms and perhaps do the rigid collars while I was at it.

I dug up my before/after measurements. No drop in the front, .75" drop rear. it's been 6 months and I don't see any settling.

OK, I found his post! and his car is V6 AWD!

Once again....his car is lowered on GT-S springs.

Thanks for finding these man. This helps a good deal, seeing as how the drop with the AWD V6, GTS on rwd may be what I'm going for then. As stated above the GT-F won't give much if any on a v6 rwd.

May just get some 20's and see how I feel about the look before getting springs... decisions, decisions

Just installed GT-S on my 15 3.8, it looks and drives amazing. I can’t stand fender gap so the F wasn’t an option. 22” coming next week, this forum hates 22” but imo the car is too big for 20”. Will post pics with rims and ride quality.

My experience with Ark Springs. i drive a '15 AWD.
GT-S springs = no rubbing with factory wheels. Rubbing with 20" wheels. 20x9 +35 offset with 255/35/20 tires. dropped all around about 1.5"
GT-F springs = no rubbing with 20" wheels. drop was roughly 3/4" rear and 1/2" front.

I have GT-S on right now and can't take the rubbing i am getting, so switching back to GT-F tomorrow.

If you want a noticeable drop, airbags are the way to go. You'll get noticed. You can park it on skid plates that sit flush on the ground with your bumpers.
