Assistance with your Genesis needs at Rosen Genesis of Algonquin

Currently, there are only 3 Genesis dealers here in Illinois and Genesis is being selective with adding additional dealers, making sure that moving forward, their customers are treated at a higher standard than what’s happened with most Hyundai dealers in the past, involving so many pricing games, inviting bad online reviews after the fact.

Actually there are four dealers in Illinois with inventory and 6 more are ready/close to come on-line.

I’m sure that in the past there have been many standard salesman here strictly to solicit but whether this leads to a purchase or I simply help with questions for others out of state, I’m simply offering my experience. I’ve been with Rosen for 11 years but 21 years in the automotive sales industry.

With so little knowledge out there for Genesis due to its recent inception, I figured that any additional help would be welcome. I’m sorry you feel the way you do but you are definitely off base with your direction towards me. I guess time will tell.

I appreciate the follow up. As of Monday, Gerald of North Aurora had not signed their dealer agreement. They may have done it late yesterday or today. Rosen, Elmhurst and Downers grove are the only currently with G70 inventory to my knowledge.

You are correct about that. As far as I can tell, North Aurora only has G80s and G90s listed as inventory on Genesis.com. That has not always proved to be the most accurate but is one of the tools being used to judge whether a dealer has 2019 inventory. Sometimes it shows up on there before it has actually arrived it seems. That is interesting they hadn't signed as of yesterday since Genesis has them listed with inventory for a week or so at least.

There’s quite a bit of information available only to the owners that I wouldn’t have access to at this point. Genesis dealer codes are being issued which then follows up with 2019 inventory. There are plenty of dealers with 2018 stock left but this was before the confirmation’s were announced for the first of the 3 Genesis dealers IL701, IL702 and Rosen Hyundai which is where I work IL703. Unless you have your dealer code for Genesis, there will not be inventory released to any other dealers. That’s not to say that there will be the additional dealers you listed but Genesis is working hard to roll this out correctly.

I’m off today so I’m not able to confirm if Gerald was issued their dealer code but as a volume dealer, I wouldn’t be surprised to find that they would be the next in line.

Yes, I'm very familiar with the process and the dealer codes. He is IL704 and they have been issued through IL710 as far as I know.

As Ed said above, this does tend to happen without checks and balances. Some dealers have contacted me first to participate here without paying the monthly fee. I'm very happy to have dealers here earning money without financially supporting us - as long as they're supporting us one way or another. If Jon can provide value to our members through answers to questions, that's another way of funding - funding the group with information.

More often than not, when somebody has something to sell, that's their main ambition for signing up - to sell - not to help...
