  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Audio crapped out?

Atleast with BMW - they use the "using new or authorized remanufactured parts" in the warranty document . That is not a refurbished part .

I have seen my dealer use new parts most of the times.
There is no standard industry definition for either; remanufacturing or refurbishing, and in most cases the two terms can be used interchangeably.

Not entirely audeo related, but am I the only one that has trouble getting the voice activation feature to do what I want? I seems awfully particular about how requests are phrased. It works fine if you ask just right, but I seldom do. It's giving me performance anxiety. And can I use it to request songs from the juke box? If so, I haven't worked out the incantation yet.
Also, I reduced the tire pressure from the 42 pounds that the dealer had in there, and at 35 pounds it is a much sweeter ride. Funny how nice the manufacturer's recommendations work out. 🆒

page 103 of the Genesis DIS manual there is a list of available commands

also you may find that with the weight of the Genesis 35psi is too low and will result in excess tire wear and possibly vibration, most of us run 38 cold, that is set the pressure at 38 psi when the outside ambient temps are around 70° and the car has been sitting 4-6 hours.

35psi in the winter if inflated when the tires are hot, will drop 2-3psi or more when sitting over night, you lose 1 psi for every 10° temp drop and gain 1 psi for every 10° temp raise over the based line (70°)

if it is colder than 70° adjust the psi accordingly, so 38@70°, 39°@60, 40@50°, 41@40° and so on.

I went with 35 while cold. Roughly 50 degrees out. Feels good so far. will try 38 next fill-up. Thanks to all for sharing your experiences. Y'all are making all this more fun.
