  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Auto Cruise Performance

REALLY?

"Once the curve exceeds a certain angle"? The "sight lines shown in the manual"? "Parked cars on the side of the road"?

Did you apprehend a dimensional scale I somehow missed in that wonderfully precise Hyundai documentation? What angle, exactly? One equal to or less than the maximum freeway curve angle? Did Hyundai supply a curve radius measurement I somehow missed?

And which sight lines, specifically? Perhaps you transferred Hyundai's "sight lines" in the manual to graph paper then quantified the the dimensions, checked them against your real world experience, and came to your conclusion that everything jibed. Is that what you did?

And which parked cars, which side of the road, which road, at what speeds, angles, curves, and sight lines? Surely, you measured all those parameters.

Or maybe you just stretched WAY around and pulled that all that shit right out of your ass...

I have very low expectations for AEB, LKAS, ACC, etc. gadgets.

Therefore I'm not too disappointed if they don't work like magic.

What scares me is that there are drivers out there who do think like that.

We at least have our fears in common.

As far as your expectations, I suggest you first get up to speed on the U.S. Department of Transportation's plans for your future. Then, I suggest you start taking what is in store for you and yours a bit more seriously. People are bitching and moaning about Elon Musk and his "guinea pigs." What of the feds and theirs...?

That gov't doc. is very interesting (once translated into English).

I'm assuming V2V communications refers to something like the transponder systems now utilized in airplanes.

Big brother is gonna take care of us!

my car cant see the fully stopped cars at all

it detects the moving cars perfectly but stopped cars cant be detected event in a straight way and the AEB dosent engage to stop
