Auto Headlight Sensitivity

I like it when the LED strip turns from white to amber and blinks for the Turn signal. I think some mercs do that.

There was also a forum member on this sight who installed a New LED strip and rewired it to be his DRL and it turns amber for his turn signal. Very classy.

I haven't tried this yet - but does anyone know if on Gen 1 cars, at night when using the high beams, do the HID turn off or do they stay on along side of the high beams? I need to try this and see - If they turn off, it could cause damage to the HID over time when using the high beams for flashing and on two lanes with medium traffic.

HID stays on. And always will. Also, as first gen HID, they want to keep the short cycle on/off from happening. Fogs go off. At least this is how works on my 2012.

So you still get the benefit of steerable headlights with the high-beams on.

I tried this tonight. The HID does stay on just as DRS said. But I cannot tell if the headlights steer or not......

In the 2014 and older, they still auto steer if left in the "auto" position. My 2012 does this. My 2015 does not, that I have observed.

Your 2014 should steer while switched in "auto" lighting position on the stalk.

Depends on the year. That is one of things Hyundai cut corners on going to the second generation, among others.
