  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just picked up my new 2015 Genesis 5.0 Ultimate (Canadian Build) and am loving it!

Whenever I plug in my phone to the USB to charge it, the DIS changes inputs to media and then auto plays my iPhone music.

I can't seem to figure out a way to disable it from auto playing??? Is it possible to disable auto play?

Thanks for the suggestion but I want it connected to the DIS for when I want to access my music library via USB (not bluetooth). I am looking to disable the autoplay rather than plug it into a separate port...

Not possible that I've seen. So get used to changing the source every time you plug in if you want access through DIS. Or move your music to the Jukebox.

I *hate* Apple so my old ass iPhone 4s from work stays in my car 100% of the time. I figured I would use it as a music player connected via USB. That was all fine and dandy until I realized that any previous play through Bluetooth, which is the Media button, will default the output to the iPhone every damn time the car started. Very annoying. My last car would reconnect and play bluetooth if that was the last selected, every time. Which this car would do that too.

Seems this is a common issue with most manufacturers unless the DIS specifically has a feature to disable autoplay, which it appears most do not.

If we are lucky enough to get a carplay update for the 2015 Genesis, maybe it will solve this...
