  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I don't like this feature and turned it off. A huge improvement IMO.

Advatages of not having it are that it's easier to get in and out of the car and I no longer have to wait for it to move into position before placing the car in gear. I found I was putting the car in gear before the seat finished adjusting and the adjustment would stop.

Do you guys like this feature and. if so, why? It seemed cool to me at first, but over time I didn't like it.

Mine is disabled though the wheel is enabled

Its a great feature I f both people
Use the car frequently

Ppp

Don't have the wheel or the seat "active". I figured if I had these features turned on, then in a few years or so the seat and wheel motor would die with my luck.

For the same reason, I just turned my steering wheel inactive. I never liked the seat action, so turned it inactive right after I bought the car.

Have both of mine active. The reason is because I carry a knife in my right pocket and more than a few times I have had my knife clip rip the leather of the wheel on my old car.

I have the wheel quite low, so getting in and out without active seats or wheel is quite impossible with my knife on me

+1 It was cool and novel when I first got in the car at the dealer, but I plan to keep this car till it just about dies. Last thing I need is to be replacing burnt out seat and steering column motors down the line:o

The steering wheel didn't bother me at all, I found it useful. However the seat in the rearmost position I found it difficult to start the car. Hard to reach the pedal and I'm 6' tall...can be 7' tall and drive this car, LOL:cool: So I just disabled it.

Also, it's just my wife and I, and she rarely drives my car. The front seat area is big enough that even if she drives it, I have no problem getting in with the seat in her position and then readjusting to my memory position.

I like the feature and find it useful. Not sure why you are posting this since it is a selectable feature so you can choose to use it or not as obviously some like it and some don't. If you find yourself putting it in gear before it has moved forward then that means you start your car and within seconds are moving which means the engine is still ice cold. You do need to give here at least 10-15 seconds to let the juices flow you know. Not at all good for the engine.
