  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My automatic cruise control doesn't always work. When it doesn't work, restarting the motor doesn't help. After a little time goes by it will then decide to work. When it is not working I have the cruise control button set and then I push the "set" button nothing happens. If I hit the "set" button repeatedly I will get an error message saying that the conditions are not met. I thought the front car sensors might be dirty, but taking it through the car wash does not help. The car has been doing this for over a year and I am hesitant to take it to the shop because they may not be able to duplicate the problem or they will say that road debris damaged the sensor and it is not covered under my extended warranty. My extended warranty expires in a few months and I am considering taking it to the shop. Have any of y'all had similar problems?

Why did you pay for an extended warranty that you are afraid to use? There may be fault codes stored from the times it wouldn't work.

Does the warranty cover diagnostics? A scan may reveal codes and it is a complex system. Use the warranty you are paying for.
