  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Automatic Seat ??

Maybe your wife would think it was a silly design if her seat drove away back beyond your driving position before she was allowed to exit the car. Did you ever think that that might be uncomfortable for her?

By the way, the premium package contains the auto seats, at least in my 2012.

I don't think that would be uncomfortable for her. It would give her a ton of space to get in and out. IMO it should move all the way back regardless of who is in the seat at the time, to ensure the next person to get in does not need to remember to press their button before the try to sit down.

And yes, my wife cannot reach the pedals either after I drive, but it is a lot easier to push the button for your setting once you are in the car, then to have to press it when you are half in the car and realize the seat is way forward.

The best solution (and the way is should work) is that is recognizes which keyfob is being used to unlock the car and a seat position is assigned to a keyfob. Then if I come out with my FOB the seat adjusts for me. This is the way my parents 1997 Chrysler Town and Country worked. They were smart back then.

Perhaps you can find a '97 Chrysler then.

But, seriously, why is it that your wife cannot push your seat number just before she shuts off the car? If she did that then the car would be ready for either one of you to enter it, no? If she would only do you that little favor then you wouldn't be making a big fuss here , would you? Please ask her to cut you a break and do that. Just say please. Case closed.

Wow.. You are really an ass

Solved the guy's problem and get insulted for it. Oh well, c'est la vie.

Why is this thread even on here ? Its useless and the op doesnt get it.

A '97 Chrysler van is just what this guy needs!

So thats how it works around here.. You cannot comment on poorly design features...

I guess it makes sense that the trip odometer only goes to 999 and that my fuel economy resets every time I fill the car up with gas..

I'm thinking of buying a second one for me since she "stole" my R Spec. :)

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
So you're getting a 3rd lover? 1st meaning your wife...2nd your genny and on top of it...another genny???

I talked to her about possibly getting a Gen 2 R Spec for me. We'll see what happens. ;)

Looks like I may get my carthe wife. But it's costing me 2 grand. :( Seems she's been driving it because she loves the sound system in it. She's been complaining about the system in her truck for some time. It's just a basic JVC front end with some Sony Explode speakers. 6 1/4 in the front and 4 X 6 in the rears. Nothing fancy.

So this weekend I'm instaling a pair of Focal 6 1/4 components in the front, a pair of Focal 6 1/4 coaxial in the rear, Image Dynamics 12" sub in a box and a Image Dynamics i5800 5 channel 760W amp. That will make the truck now have a system better than the Genney and almost as good as the house system. I just recently picked up a full set of Klipsch speakers for my surround sound system.

But that still dosen't mean I'm giving up on a '15 R Spec just yet. ;)
