Automatic Transmission issues 2013 coupe

I'll try my best to explain this right. No problems when I first bought the car and as soon as I took it into the main certified hyundai dealership for a whole car check and oil change about 1 month after buying it from an Individual, the transmission sticks in gear when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear and 3rd to 4th. Is that a computer problem or a screwed transmission?
And the repair dept has been aggressively trying to sell me on shit since I left the building. Is this something they might have done to it to force another repair to pay for?
Any help would be awesome and much appreciated.
I know it sucks that it's an automatic transmission. Everytime I drive it I wish it was a stick but I came across the car at a good price and bought it anyway

mine did the same… first off please check out my post… there seems to be a theme going with these cars and what i was talking about.

but for me… i had that issue, i didnt dig too deep into it, but my car is 8 speed auto with manual mode. i used to just switch it over and manual shift the gears. ima take it this might not be an option for you… if not, let me know and ill pull out my book and letchu know what i read about that problem.

i suggest a manual and checking the TCM, do a diagnostic on it.

i suggest a manual and checking the TCM

i suggest a repair manual honestly. but try to checking the TCM, do a diagnostic on it, or replace it. theres a manual that walks you through it all. its

Any updates on this? Every couple months mine wants to stay in 3rd gear unless I slow almost to a stop and try again.
