  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wondering as to the average age of Genesis owners...young,middle age,older.......REALLY OLD!!
From the posts of those doing mods I'm thinking early 30s to mid 40s
Just really curious!😏

I guess I am REALLY OLD at 74.

Third post in this thread; average age is 73! :sith:

K I'm 73 myself still thinking that with the number of guys doing mods such as lowering and adding fancy wheels have to be younger owners.

I am 75. Just switched over from Lexus. Owned four Lexus vehicles. They are getting harder to deal with and their service price is getting higher and they do not give the personal care that they used to do. Their vehicles are great though.

^^^^ You wish! I'm 47 :applause: :hillarious:

Just turned 41 this year. Officially over 40 now...

From the Wards Auto article about where the Genesis brand is getting its conquest buyers...

Buyers largely are white, male, college-educated and older than 50, with median household incomes touching $145,000, but Raphael is quick to point out the Genesis brand is reaching out to all potential luxury buyers and welcomes everyone interested in the products and able to afford the vehicles.

Figure that for G80 buyers, somewhere in the mid-upper 40 yrs of age and a bit lower in median income.

When the G70 arrives, both figures should go down further.

And as I had stated, the majority of buyers are white; should start to see an increase in the % of female buyers with the G70, but that should really go up w/ the upcoming crossovers (so age should continue to decline, but the median income should start to go back up with the addition of the crossovers).

For proper context - the average age of a Lexus buyer in 2014 was 53 (which is down from 56 yrs of age in 2009). (Another article from 2014 lists the avg. age of Lexus buyers again at 56 - so take these figures w/ a grain of salt as can vary depending on the source and as to what models were the big sellers in a particular year - i.e. - a new S Class can skew the #s up for Mercedes).

MB also had an average age of 53 in 2012 according to one source, and an avg. of 57 in 2013 according to another source.

Do not meet most all of the general buyer profile criterion cited above from the Wards auto article (except age now, not when i bought the car; and college educated)...pasted section below....

I'm 38, but driving a G90 makes me feel older. Maybe I should have gone with the G80 Sport. Still have a couple years to buy a Vette and make the mid-life crisis complete.
