  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently purchased a 2015 3.8 awd that has 22k miles. I have noticed some shuddering when making turns at slow speeds. Mostly notice it when accelerating when making a tight turn out of a parking lot. I havent found anything in the forums about this, has anyone else had this happen? It does it in all three drive modes. Kinds reminds me of driving an older 4wd locked in on dry pavement.

Have it checked out.

Yeah definitely have it checked out. I also have a '15 3.8 AWD and have never had any shuddering.

No shuddering in my AWD either. Has the car been lowered, or taller tires put on? Maybe they are rubbing.

Completely stock, guess Ill be taking it in again. Ive had it in twice in the last month for the creaking sunroof and recalls. The service dept has acknowledged the creaking but said they dont know how to fix it. Hopefully Ill have better luck with this problem.

Good morning, I've had the exact same issue. For example, when going through a parking garage at low speed, the car begins to shutter. My Hyundai dealer has been proactive in trying to fix the problem. First, they replaced the rear differential, didn't fix it. Picked it back up from the dealer yesterday after having the transfer case replaced, it's fixed! My suggestion, have them replace the transfer case and you'll notice an immediate difference. There will now be record in Hyundai's database of this being a successful repair. Best of luck!

Thanks for the info, transfer case is what I was suspecting. Seems early in its life to have problems, 26k on the car. Im making an appointment next week, hopefully they can find a fix for the sunroof too.

I took the car in for service last week and left it for the day. They called late in the day and said they couldn't reproduce the problem, unfortunately the few minutes I rode with them it didn't act up. I guess I'll have to wait until the problem gets worse or more persistent. Also mention the sunroof squeak for the third time and they didn't even look at it.

I just read your post again and you mention "when accelerating". If I accelerate moderately to heavy while turning on irregular pavement my car seems to starve for fuel. Other than the sensation from the bumps in the road, I really don't feel any shuddering.
