  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just purchased a 2016 Genesis in 3.8 with 34K miles. Great car. I'm happy with the features and especially the comfort. While I purchased it for myself(mostly driving back and forth to work and weekend excursions) I occasionally have passengers. Here is my ask.

What have you done to make USB ports available to those that ride in the back seat?
How do I make the USB ports ALWAYS powered on?(I like to leave my phone or tablet in the car to charge while to visit stores as they can continue to charge)

Most valuable thing I leave in the car is a ball point pen in the glove box. You'd actually leave a phone or tablet?

I have the benefit of living in the safest city in ... Crime happens at a significant lower rate in my region.

to answer the question, you would need to install a USB plug that is connected to an always on connection instead of an ACC switch. So, wiring it directly to the batter or a fuse that is always on.
