  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Newb here, just got an 2012 R-Spec and want to replace badges. Noticed there was an add on here, but wanted to find out from you guys where is the best place to get them without getting ripped off. Thanks

Most people will say click the ad on here that says "help support the community" because, while it may cost more than some other places, it does in fact support the site and helps guarantee you're getting an actual OEM part to fit your car.

Hi! I’m Sal, the owner and operator of the Genesis Owners Group. Why buy badges from me? It helps me pay for server costs, software costs, upgrades to licenses for each of those as well as my time providing support for our members. What kind of support requests do I receive most? Here they are in order of frequency:

1. I never received my registration verification email.
2. My password isn’t working.
3. I forgot my username.
4. The Captcha answer isn’t working.
5. The forum rejected registration because my username, email, or ip address matched a spammer.
6. My Genesis is broken. Can you help?

Here are some examples of what I need to maintain on the back end, in order of frequency:

1. WordPress updates
2. vBulletin (forum) updates
3. Plugin/Extension updates for WordPress and vBulletin
4. Server updates and server software updates
5. Server issues that I cannot handle myself ($90-150/hour)

I'm also constantly moving topics that were posted in the wrong area. Dealing with spam is a job that never ends. Don’t believe anyone who tells you this is a simple, cheap and easy hobby. It isn’t. But when all is said and done – I love it. Buying badges helps me maintain the site we’ve all grown to love.

Thank you very much, DohctorSmith! Your account has been upgraded and your order will be on it's way to the post office in about an hour...

The steering wheel Genesis emblem is available, but it is not a Hyundai item, and it looks cheap. The only way to get it to look right is to buy and entire Genesis air bag $$$$$$$

Doc,

I have the same exact car. I got my wheel center caps, steering wheel emblem, and trunk badge ALL off eBay. Wheel caps were $25, steering wheel cover (adhesive over the Hyundai badge) was about $10 and rear badge was about $30 if i remember correctly.

Wheel caps, seamless, and easy.
Rear badge...Use a hair dryer to melt the glue under the Hyundai badge. Take fishing line or strong wire and gently work it down into the badge, cutting away at the melting glue. You may have to re-heat a few times. Just work at it, very simple.

The steering wheel cover is easy. It's an adhesive badge, simply peel the back off the badge, and lay it over the Hyundai badge on the steering wheel. Press firmly (without honking the horn lol) for AT LEAST 60 seconds. Make sure it's centered.

Good luck

This is for the steering wheel. What's the red oval part for?
