  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm this close to screaming at the top of my lungs. I planned to head down to a family Thanksgiving dinner and....................

Car won't start . It's a 2020 G70 3.3t w/ 3000 mi and the damn thing won't start. Battery has one or two failed cells.

Pissed in Colorado,

That's really too bad, I'd be livid!

You can probably get a jump through Connected Services, but a battery replacement will take a day, at best.

Well, maybe it's a divine intervention to keep you from COVID...

Good luck...

Thanks Tinsley - I should adopt your calm logic. I'll be on the phone with my dealer at 7:01 AM tomorrow though!

Let us know how it goes, I'm curious where you live (city) and how the dealer experience goes.

Genesis of Golden (Colorado) replaced the battery for free. In general, the dealer seems competent but since they're not exclusively a Genesis dealership, and share space with mother Hyundai, I was forced to mingle with the great unwashed while I waited :). I didn't get the pick up/drop off concierge treatment.

My car had languished on the sales lot for many weeks before I bought it (can't understand why because Siberian Ice virtually commands a person to shell out some cash) . The service guy said two of the cells were bad , probably having to do with putting a heavy charge on a compromised, stale battery as they prepared it for me to pick up.
