Battery light on 2012/4.6

Last night my battery light and a few other lights came on and my nav screen started freaking out like it was on crack moving sideways n flashing different things. It was also telling me something like it does when i press the start button once to just listen to the radio when the car is off. Any ideas?

Could be the battery is ready to die. Did the car start ok? Problems go away when running? How old is the battery?

Check bettery connection and ground connection too.

if the battery light is on while you are driving, very good chance it is your alternator and you better get it checked ASAP. Because if so, your battery is powering everything by itself. This happened to me a few months ago
Now when they car is off and you have the radio on, yes the VERY annoying "battery will discharge" message comes up on the screen no matter what.

Thx. Car starts and runs fine but noticing windows/sunroof are slower so u may be right. Where exactly is the battery located in my Genny? Bought the car 3 yrs ago so I’m guessing it may be original. Thanks again!

So the end result of this was the alternator and the battery needed to be replaced. Thx all for ur input, I sure do appreciate it!

Turns out that the alternator and battery needed to be replaced. At Hyundai in Las Vegas. $1250. :/

I did the alternator myself in my 2013 and it was a pain in the butt...a new one only cost $180ish from autozone but it took me 3+ hours and a lot of cussing to replace. $1250 seems very steep if you ask me
I would expect more around $800 for both even from the dealer

Ya well my wife and I were in vegas about to head home to Los Angeles and we were kind of in a pinch to get it done. We got there at 2:30 pm and left before 6 so we were happy with that and I didn’t have all that cussing and anxiety! Lol. I have an extended warranty and it looks like at least the alternator will be covered and that was just under $500. Wife found a 10% off service coupon at that dealership too so that saved me $120 so we were just over $1100 out the door.

Damn thanks! I may be getting reimbursed for everything but my battery which wasn’t covered but I’ll know in about 2 weeks when I get the check!
