Bentley?

I had read about this happening in some of the G70 reviews, but didn't think it would happen to me. I was at a gas station today and a guy approached me. He asked if my car was a Bentley. I explained that it was a Genesis G70. I told him the story of how the car was designed and how the headless bird emblem was very similar to Bentley. I had also debadged the rear of the car so that the headless bird emblem was the only badge that remained. He was very impressed with the beauty of the car and the information I shared with him about it. So don't be surprised if your G70 is mistaken for a more upscale brand.

There are folks on the new TLX forum in discussions of the new S Type who are bashing the G70 emblem. I guess it makes them feel better about getting their ass kicked

Never had someone ask if it was a Bentley, mostly I get: "hey that's really cool, what is it?"

The first week I had my G70 sport a coworker of mine was going around asking who had the blue Maserati lol. I was staying kinda quiet about the purchase and just letting people talk. I was getting a kick out of the "new fancy mystery car in the parking lot" gossip, lol.

Well, it sort of happened to me this morning. I go to a small coffee shop in the small town I live it a lot. I’m there probably 4-5 days a week, and most of the time on my motorcycles. Today I am in the G70.

There are a lot of people I’ve come to know, several of them are some sort of construction workers. After I went inside and sat down, one of the guys who I’ve gotten to know fairly well came in and told me that another of the guys (they were sitting outside) said “damn, he’s got a Bentley, now I‘m really jealous“.

Yes, I told it was a Hyundai!

I've had a Bentley, and knock off Bentley comment in the 4 months I have had the car. Pretty funny.

I just got mine last week and had an event the next day with some pretty well off people. They remarked that at first they thought it was some sort of Bentley. Now, they had had a few drinks, but I'll take the ego boost
