  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I may be passing my 2011 Genesis 4.6 to my son. It's the best car I've even owned. As a result, I may be looking for a replacement. At this time, I can't afford a new one, so I will be looking for a clean used one. Are there any years to avoid? From a price point, I will probably need to look at 2017 - 2019. I will definitely want AWD, but will most likely look for a non-turbo 3.8 - again for "value".

Thoughts?

Thanks for sharing this. It's very helpful. I guess I need to look further into why the low ratings for climate and suspension. For the 2019.

I leased a 2018 back when and never had problems with it.

Tomorrow, I'm planning on looking at both a 2019 G80 Sport and 2020 G80 Sport. The specs look identical. Any meaningful improvements in the 2020? or is it basically the same car? The only thing I'm concerned with is the 19" wheels and lower profile. Are they much more susceptible to damage than 18's or is it a minor difference? It appears that replacement tires would also be more limited.

Update. I purchased the 2019 G80 Sport in white with tan interior. For some reason, I didn't like the color of the 2020 Uyuni White with black interior. Got a great deal and an amazing buying experience at the dealership.
