  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Will like to repaint my rims, matte black. What is a good paint to use for my rims. I have 2009 V6

How were you planning on painting them? Spray can, professional sprayer, or other? You could always "dip" them.

I think I will use the spray can. The rims are already painted black, just need to go over it, several chips of paint is starting to show.

Make sure you clean them really well and either prime them or rough them up a little to make sure the paint adheres properly.

Ok. Thanks, much appreciated..

Watch a couple of youtube videos. Also, if you want to use automotive quality paint, some auto paint stores have the ability to put the paint into spray cans.

Have them emulsified and then powder-coated. You will be much happier with the results and they clean far easier as well.

A bit more expensive, but worth it.
