  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Duaine - and anyone else looking for the V-8 - I think this has been posted before but the best way to find a V-8 in your area is to use autotrader.com. This is how I found my Titanium V-6 with Technology Package from a dealer about 300 miles away.

Simply set up a search (must join first) for any 2009 Genesis priced 42,000-50,000. It will return any exact matches. I just did a quick search and came up with some in Oregon, etc..

Are you talkig V8 models?

Yes. By keying in the parameters of $42k plus, you would only pick up V-8s with tech packages. If you are looking for the V-8 base then you would key in $40k (but it would also return V-6 w/tech packages too)

Except for the fact that if you do that right now, you get a lot of cars that are V6's that are overpriced. Try a search and see. Check the VIN's. All of them are E's and not F's (8th character), which is the code for the engine.

I put in the area code for LA, with no results, even though I live in TN. Thought maybe that if they are arriving the W Coast would get them first. Tomorrow I'm going to try to order, with earnest money, a Tech V8 from our areas largest dealer. We'll see what happens.

Yeah I had been doing this for awhile now and what I was coming up with was the over pricing on the V-6 models. I haven't tried it yet tonight but I had it searching for V-8 engine only and I have always come up with none found.

Guess we keep trying, watching, and waiting............thanks guys!
