not to be a debby downer but I thought it need to be the ECU from your vehicle as the VIN is in the software...

I can't speak on that for certain, but another user confirmed with BTR that it would in fact work on their vehicle.

this will work on other cars the reason behind that is because they used blank ecu and they were able to bypass the push start . the factory ecu has the vin numbers burn in them and as well as the push start software program for each vehicle.
