If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thanks. Would like to see pictures of the car after. Is it lower?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I too have been looking for more information on these.. anything you can provide would be helpful.

Thanks,

unfortunately for sedan owners, these appear to be for the coupe. The bilstein website list nothing for the sedan. Which is why we get megans :)

Thanks. Would like to see pictures of the car after. Is it lower?

it's rear spring adjustable and bilstein.kr tuned for genesis sedan, I set the normal height for my car because I just want to improve the ride.

Thanks,

I bought it from bilstein.kr and type is bilstein BTC. Yes, when I make the decision to change the suspension include shock and spring, I did a lot of research also include bilstein.com, I have not found the coilover which is suitable for genesis sedan, the coilover from my understand it just produce from SMA, megan before.

I found http://genesisclub.or.kr from korean, this website have a lot of information we could refer but it need translate korean from google chrom .

www.naver.com it's another useful website have a lot of information we could refer.

the shock is tuned by bilstein.kr and they tell me the core is made from Germany, maybe they did some tuned from bilstein B6 in order to suitable for sedan.

The feeling:
I got the big improvement from control and handling, I found fun for drive myself and the car has more stable compare with my 2011 genesis sedan, my shock part number is 3m701, myabe the 2012 is 3m801 and they have 3m802 and 3m901 for the shock, about the sock number pls refer my previous reply .
First I did another change to replace my original tires from Hankook H426 to Continental CPC2, a lot of small scrap vibration reduce. I recommend replace tires is the first setp who are not satisfied with their ride, it's less damage and you will find the different, but I'm not satisfied because I found that sit down into a Cone, becuase left and right roll still can feeling into the body even though it is less disturb.

Second I replace the shock and spring with Bilstein BTC, it could made me turn the corner faster(amazing me but not my first requirement), it tame the car calm down special for steering wheel, previous car have a lot of out of control feedback from steering I don't like, now it's become more stable and made me ease, the sock doesn't feeling thin. The steering feeling like drive a BENZ. I will try to throw it into highway later for taste the different, I will reply more if got your encourage for my poor english, thanks everyone who give me the help and information.

I found the same effect as below vedio:

Thanks for the report. Your English is good enough to understand what you are trying to say. So don't worry about that.

Would like to get a link or URL for the shocks.

Did it lower your car at all or did it stay at factory height?

Thanks again!

Oops. Just saw you wrote rear spring is adjustable. What about front strut? Adjustable or not?

Thanks for all the info! English is coming through good. Please post pics of finished product.

Nice.

nice height. I thought I would hate it. nice

post more pics and update ride quality:

This coiliver seems to design for connect to the ground as much as possible, and rebound has a little quick, it can catch the body let you feel free and under the control when pass big wave, the amazing include brake part, I can feel the tightly body, for example previous if I put the shift to N, the car seems have a little slide but not it stable as the german car, I feel more confident when track the car even though I have not modified my brake part yet, the brake posture is very good. It's a typical germany tuned style coilover, if your concern is ride quality, maybe you have another better choice. If you want a aggreesive drive and germany style suspension it's bingo.

Bilsteins are the best for just about any vehicle they make. Have them on all the cars, SUV, and trucks. The single difference in better handling and controlled ride.

I am assuming if Anyone has the Sachs, Bilsteins will be better.

Yes, Saches and Bilstein are different animal, to compare these two:

Saches: soft and loose
bilstein: tenacity and tightly

rigid collar under study :D

So, if we source these, we are not getting them from US division? If so, that sucks.

Also, would a decent compromise of good and controlled ride be getting the shocks, but leave the old springs? Or is that possible?

Getting overseas on gray market will prevent the lifetime warranty I would presume.

Maybe the OP used the wrong words to describe the Blistien ride. If Genesis owners want "tenacious", "fast acting", and "neck snapping" response then stick with the original sachs units..and even more so with the units in the R-spec version. If I'm not mistaken THE issue with our Sachs dampers is that they react to quickly and harshly, NOT that they ride is too cushy. I'm happier everyday with my O.E.M. suspension (I have the 2012 version)...if I wanted a more sports oriented sedan then I would have kept my 2010 Genesis.
