  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

bilstein BTC purchase from Korea

I like the analogy "sawtooth to wave" which very aptly describes the change in ride when going from stock to bilstein - at least partly. If rigid collar mounts can completely eliminate the sawtooth like vibration and feedback at the wheel (especially when rounding curves at speed) for $50 I'm interested.

The rigid collar is the most valuable investment for me, and as we talked before, I raised my carbefore for better ride, I found at the third ring the car rebound has a little fast(stiff) but lost some control when entry and out the corner, in our country, the rode is bad and sometimes the speed is low than 80KM/H, so I perfer the ride and like the car can ease at slow speed and stable at high speed.

Look like aluminum subframe bushings, it will help but can transmit more road noise.

Id be interested for 50 a set also.

Absolutely wonderful report Peter! Thanks

Question: Where can I find rigid collar set for my 2012 Genny Sedan?

I have looked a bit and don't seem to have any luck:(
Thanks again for all your research

Okay, it's a internal sell I found from the genesis club of Korean, I don't know whether it suitable for U.S. version, need one volunteer to try and the price is 60USD include shipping and no profit. If confirmed it works, the agent can give the group by price to 97.5USD include shipping and profit.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Pm sent.

Wow! This type of thing is exactly why I found the Genesis forum. If I understand the idea of the rigid collar correctly (a small collar removes loose tolerance introduced to aid assembly and allows the Genesis to perform better) then I'm all in. Thanks 1FstYota for volunteering. If your report is positive I'll buy a set of collars immediately.

Looks like raynman10 would have to do the testing. If he can get me the measurements I can get those to my machinist and see how much to produce a bunch of them.

I will report to all ASAP once they are installed by my shop. Provided the rigid collars work with the US Genesis It looks like Peter has an arrangement with someone to provide us with additional sets at the above price of 97.50 a set. I don't think he is doing this so they can be knocked of:confused:

Yea 97.5 usd sounds wayyy better than paying 70 or 80 usd.

Hi guys. I'm new here. Read the entire thread and wondering if Bilsteins are available for 2013 Genesis. I had a very positive experience with them in the past (5100 series) which made a huge difference in FJ's live rear axle setup.
So, is it possible to ebay them from Korea?
I'd be also interested in those rigid collars.

Peter, are you able to get the Bilstein part numbers from either the Bilstein Korea catalog, or off of your car?

They aren't listed on the US catalog, but if I have the Bilstein global part numbers, I can work on trying to get something in the US.

I found the site that sell them you can email and they will ship ems I think to the US.

Anyone need the info let me know.

Are you able to get the part numbers from them?

Are these B6 Sports, full coilovers, etc?

Didn't ask for the PN. I was just trying to see if I was able to get them. Let me find it again and post the info.
