  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Blank Instrument Cluster

When you purchased the vehicle you should have gotten a state booklet or information pamphlet on the states lemon laws. At least, most states do that.

Not in Arizona or at least I have never gotten one.

The extra manual is called the "Owner's Handbook Supplement", and there are two specific pages for Arizona. See attached from my 2024 version.

I probably got that but I have a mental failure...I don't RTFM.

Thanks.

I am about to buy a 2023 pre-owned. Is this something I need to be worrying about?

If the car has the latest OTA update and the issue hasn’t occurred, then you’re probably okay. Otherwise, worst case, the cluster will need to be replaced.

It was mostly the 2024's that had the issue. I think there was a batch of bad displays that did not play nice with the navigation update that gave the wireless carplay and android.

My 23 GV60 has had the blank dash a few times. Usually it's only for a few minutes when I'm getting ready to leave for work. I did get a video of it the last time in the hopes that it would be enough to get the dealership to know what was up, but they said that they could only do something about it if they saw it happening. Between that and the ICCU, 12v battery, Fuse failure that I had, I can't say that Hyundai/Kia/Genesis is really winning me over.

I received a letter that my dealer has received my replacement cluster. 3 months, but it hasn't been a real inconvenience since it comes on quick after starting. So is there a consensus that the cluster replacement does solve the problem, or not always?

I think as long as the cluster replacement is good you are all good. My replacement has been perfect.

So far so good with my replacement as well 👍

I got the cluster swap done, 1 day, so far all good. i will report back if it happens again. hopefully not again.

goodness. i'm jealous.

my car has been at the dealer for...two months now awaiting a second cluster (the first one only read kilometers, and i'm in the US). i was told it should be in 'by the middle of the month,' so i'm hoping maybe next week? yes, the middle of the month was a week or so ago...i'm still grateful i have a loaner, but admit it's wearing thin.

got my car back today, with a brand new cluster. once it arrived from korea, was a quick fix, 67 days later...

everything seems to be working fine, although i noticed that my 'trip' mileage on the display widget was about 500 miles more than the mileage on the odometer reading. i'm going to attribute that to whatever wackiness happened when they had to replace the console twice and assume the odometer reading is correct. very happy to have my car back.
